The Earth Hour 2012 campaign will seek to drive awareness of environmental issues into concrete action with a campaign that invites the everyman to challenge anyone and everyone to do their part with the theme: I Will If You Will.
Led by WWF (the World Wide Fund for Nature) , the phenomenal ‘lights out’ event – Earth Hour 2012 will take place on Saturday 31 March 2012, at 8.30pm. This year’s motto – ‘I Will If You Will’ – aims to inspire local communities to create their own challenges to undertake sustainable environmental actions that go ‘beyond the hour’ to preserve and protect the planet.
For Earth Hour 2012, WWF Singapore will encourage the local community, businesses, celebrities, and government agencies to:
— Switch off lights for Earth Hour at 8.30pm on Saturday, 31 March 2012 and showcase Singapore’s concerted commitment to the planet with the rest of the world.
— Engage and share their efforts on social media platforms for Earth Hour by inserting the hashtag #earthhoursg when discussing responsible environmental initiatives that have been undertaken.
The inaugural Earth Hour event started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia and it has grown into a global climate change movement in which hundreds of millions of people from over 135 nations participate, acknowledging the importance of protecting the Earth and conveying the message to everyone to take responsible action to protect the planet they live in.
In 2011, Earth Hour saw hundreds of millions of people across 135 countries switch off their lights for an hour. In addition to the momentous ‘lights out’ hour, it marked the start of something new for Earth Hour 2011 – going Beyond the Hour – to commit to lasting action to fight against climate change. WWF Singapore also encouraged individuals, businesses and organizations to take action and pledge to keep their air conditioning temperature set at 24oC or higher.
Earth Hour 2012 will take place at 8.30pm, Saturday, 31 March 2012.

9. Let your dog give love to others
Share joy and love with society’s underprivileged by getting your dog assessed for appropriate Animal Assisted Therapy conducted by Therapy Dogs Singapore. This group of volunteers are on the lookout for suitable dogs to help people improve the quality of their physical and emotional well-being – simply through dogs’ unconditional love and affection for humans!
10. Last but not least, enter the “Singapore Special Dog Show”

No matter where you are, the bonding of love is still strong. The love within each other will not easily be defeated. So treat each other as if it is Valentine Day or the end of the world. My personal review
A heartwarming movie which touches the heart of people especially to couples. The reality of rich & poor but teaches the bonding between couples. The movie title fits the movie as it illustrate the process of planning a wedding.
The storyline is using a “flashback to the present” style of shooting. Using a book as the timeline of the process, from how they met to the current, Wedding Day. The main story starts after the Wedding day. The movie describe the problem faces within both families. The groom’s parents and bride’s parents. How they overcome the problem? The building of bond between both families. Pride of a man.
Shall not give any spoiler. Go watch the movie which opens on 9 Feb 2012 in cinemas near you.
I shall give it 4/5 stars.

Morgan, a University student that is born in a wealthy family has been living with his grandmother since young. He has a systematic way of handling things which often results in paranoia when something was amiss. Rigidness and inflexibility was thus generated due to his strong desire to make full use of time. However, things began to change when his grandmother, his only kin ever since the death of his parents, passed away.
Amongst Morgan’s grandmother’s belongings, Morgan found an island’s lease and also, gazed upon a few pictures of her grandmother and a stranger posing intimately in an island. He somehow recalled that his grandmother used to tell him stories of her regrets with regards to a watch and the island when he was younger… Intrigued on the identity of the mysterious man and to escape the paparazzi, he decided to head to the island to unravel the mysteries and seek answers. His best friend and confidante, Sky, tagged along to accompany him for the trip. Being an optimistic and enthusiastic person, Sky is the only person who has the ability to get Morgan to ease up on life and have fun. However, without Morgan knowing, Sky contacted Pepper, childhood playmate of Morgan and informed her about the plan. Pepper decided to join the expedition without Morgan’s approval..
Uri, a paparazzi, approached the island for his own hidden agenda. In the island, he acquainted with Xiaowei and fall for her. Xiaowei’s brother, Eden, the heir of the family that had been looking over the island, is one that believes in the simplicity of life. Upon setting eyes on Pepper, he was caught off guard by her charisma and decided to woo her. That spark ignited the hunger to win between both Eden and Morgan as they pit themselves against one another constantly.
As they get to know each other day after day in the island, sharing their life stories, the bond between the youngsters developed and strengthened…

Dasmond Koh is a Singaporean television compere and actor.

Picture credits to Dog Whisperer Free Pet ShopIn response to the recent abandonment of pets over the Chinese New Year period and public interest in the plight of un-homed dogs, the National Geographic Channel has partnered four dog shelters, for the first time, to hold the largest ever dog-adoption drive in Singapore. To be held on the 18th and 19th of February, the event will feature about 80 dogs – all up for adoption.
We would be very appreciative if you could come down to the event and help spread the word amongst your friends.
