HDR of Garden by the bay
Had this compact camera from Casio Singapore Ptd Ltd for a photo review. Thank you! I had visited Garden by the bay last Saturday for a day and night shoot but the weather sudden changes from hot to wet. Thought of canceling the trip but since I’m already there, I might as well stay on. As what I had predicted, the rain had stopped in less than an hour. The trip continues but only night shots. That is why I had less day shot than night shots, I shall visit garden by the bay again for more day shots and will bring a tripod next time for night scene as these updated photos(id:Day 2) which you had seen is hand-held only. Shall visit more area to take photos where I usually hang out for my photography journey. Let’s briefing introduce this camera.

I had a power nap since I woke up at about 4.30am – 5am to study this morning. Been inform about the beautiful sunset, I quickly pack the required lens in a small bag and rush opposite my block to take.
Saw the moonlight shone on me last night beside my bed. I immediate mount my camera and starts shooting. Loves the details on the moon and the peaceful environment around it.

Went for a sunrise shoot as per year end and year start. But this time, the sunrise is overly covered by large patch of clouds. So in the end, I had to change to birding photography. First time try birding shoot, quite hard to spot birds but found only a Sunbird nearby. Shall go practice more on birding. I went back home and rest before I go out again for Sunset shoot at Upper Seletar(above photo). Let’s look at what I had catch in the morning. (more…)
Singapore, 3 December 2012 – Last Saturday, Asian pop and rock music stalwart nations of Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea were gathered on the stage of Sundown Festival 2012, much to the delight of the 6,000-strong audience who braved the unpredictable year-end weather to support their favourite acts. I had been busy lately after my 1st exam paper. The next day, I had to go for Sundown Festival 2012 press conference and during night time, went to French Couture Week(30 Nov 2012) for Fashion Runway shoot. Tons of photo to be edit. The following day, I went …
for the actual event of Sundown Festival 2012 (behind flyer, beside F1 Pit). Then again, another set of many photos to be edit. But before I heading home, my friends message me whether I want to watch movie (Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action movie from an anime) at Bugis+(formerly Illuma) about 12midnight. So I went to watch with them. At the start, I hope I do not fall asleep during the movie but in the end, I am awake thru out the movie. It is quite a nice movie since I only watch the anime about the first few episodes.
And the next day(2 Dec), I went for the last day of French Couture Week; After Party for a shoot.
It was a great photography days and I still got a long way to learn on taking fashion runway photographs. There are many aspects to take note of and pay attention with.
The most troublesome and painful part is when I am editing the photos on Monday on my DIY computer. It auto shutdown. Lucky it is not the harddisk that gives me the problem but it is still sad. My computer the processor chip got burnt. Immediately doing recovery of data from harddisk to my laptop.(plug in my external sata harddisk enclosure) The DIY computer had last me for about 7-8 years since my polytechnic days. Only changes made are the graphic cards(2 times) and memory(2 memory slot and upgrade size). Using WinXP and run on 1GB RAM survives till now.
